Rose_Phyto_Toner_1500_x_1500_2017_1400x.Search any where, search anywhere, and one may see that there are obviously over a thousand beauty brands in the market now. With so many options, picking the correct skin care items may be a little impossible. We are going to help you to filter the options by applying a simple filter of what might be important in choosing skincare products. We can remove nearly all of the brands by making sure the products are from a brand that is; owned independently, are free of toxins, and are cruelty-free. These are key values that we all share and everyone supports from a brand.

Independently-owned brands are brands that haven’t received any outside capital in exchange for a perecent of ownership of the company. These brands are commonly known as Indie brands. There are numerous Indie brands across the country that exist on a limited basis due to their smaller size. And there are a few Indie brands that are forcing the action and have succeeded into a nationwide presence. There are also one or two Indie brands that are chasing the prize of being globally-traded. One such brand in the Indie market is Russell Organics. They are selling across all beauty channels from mass beauty to prestige. Russell Organics is also internationally distributed, with a publicly stated goal of becoming the only globally traded Indie brand. When selecting an Indie brand beware of hidden external investors. We have researched this, and almost all of the larger so-called Indie brands have received external investors.

The following criteria for selecting a great skin care brand is it being toxin free skin care-free. What does this really mean? There are thousands of synthetic ingredients, botanicals, waxes, and extracts used to create products. Many of these ingredients may be synthetic toxins that have been shown to be harmful to humans and to the environment. Russell Organics is heading the Clean Beauty movement by not using toxic ingredients and by entirely disclosing every ingredient in every product. Search on your own. Look at products. Do you notice ingredients listed as perfume? Did you know that perfume can contain over 900 chemicals and you would never realize which ones? Talk about a scary situation. Have you ever enter into a space and smell a perfume and at once have water eyes and start to sneeze? These are the toxins that may be also be lurking in your skin care products. A fantastic resource to investigate on ingredients is Environmental Working Group which has made a deep compilation of ingredients and highlighted their level of toxicity.

The last criteria is the brand being cruelty free. What does cruelty-free really mean? There is frequent misinformation about the phrase. Let us begin by identifying that to be cruelty-free, the product is required to be a vegan product. That means no animal derived ingredients such as milk, honey, beeswax are never used in any product. That removes at least 80 percent of the brands in the market. The other issue for being cruelty free is having not tested products on animals. All of the global mass skin care brands have conducted testing on animals. This chasing of profits at the expense of harming animals is not excusable and should not be supported by buying their products.

In closing, these basic key filters will help you to narrow down the list of selections to those brands that are worthy of your support. From there it will be an easy option of choosing the proper skincare product for your complexion.
